Eric Cressey
Eric Cressey received his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science through the University of Connecticut Department of Kinesiology, the #1 ranked kinesiology graduate program in the nation. At UCONN, Eric was involved in varsity strength and conditioning and research in the human performance laboratory. Previously, Eric graduated from the University of New England with a double major in Exercise Science and Sports and Fitness Management.
An accomplished author, Cressey is a regular contributor to Testosterone Nation, Men’s Fitness, and Elite Fitness Systems, and Rugged Magazine, authoring over 140 published articles in all. Eric has been an invited guest speaker all over the U.S. and abroad. His Master’s thesis, “The effects of 10 weeks of lower-body unstable surface training on markers of athletic performance,” was published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
As a competitive powerlifter, Eric holds several state, national, and world records. A mainstay in the Powerlifting USA Top 100 lifts in his weight class, Cressey is rapidly approaching Elite status with competition bests of 540 squat, 402 bench, 628 deadlift, and 1532 total in the 165-pound weight class. He trained at the world-renowned South Side Gym in Stratford, Connecticut from 2005 to 2006
Eric has helped athletes at all levels - from youth sports to the professional and Olympic ranks - achieve their highest levels of performance in a variety of sports. Charles Poliquin
Charles Poliquin is a native of Ottawa, Canada. While completing graduate studies in Exercise Physiology in Canada, Charles began coaching athletes, a career move that has resulted in hundreds of medals, wins and personal bests of many elite athletes. He is known worldwide for producing faster athletes. When a country wants a Gold medal, they come to Charles.
Coach Poliquin has been hailed as the most successful strength coach in the world. He has spent years-researching European journals (he is fluent in English, French and German) and speaking to other coaches and scientists in his quest to optimize training methods. Mike Robertson
Mike Robertson is the President of Robertson Training Systems and the Director of Custom Athletics in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mike has made a name for himself as one of the premier performance coaches in the world, helping clients and athletes from all walks of life achieve their physique and sports performance goals.
Mike received his Masters degree in Sports Biomechanics at Ball State University. His graduate assistantship was performed in the Biomechanics Lab, a division of the Human Performance Lab. In his time there, Mike was responsible for setting up a complete online exercise database, assisting in research on strength and power development, and also played an integral role in starting up the strength diagnosis clinic. Working in the athletic weight room is where Mike found his calling, however, and he put in nearly 1400 volunteer hours as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2 years time. Mike worked primarily with the football, volleyball and soccer teams, while counseling and coaching individual athletes from all of Ball State's 26 varsity sports.
Finally, Mike is an accomplished athlete and coach in the sport of powerlifting. Mike has totaled 1400 pounds in the 198 pound weight class, and has improved in each and every meet he has attended. Christian Thibaudeau
Thibaudeau (pronounced Tee-Bow-Doh) is yet another French Canadian phenom in the strength and conditioning community. He's successfully trained a wide array of athletes from Olympic lifters and strongmen to hockey players and figure skaters. Yvan Campbell
Kinésiologue, professeur, conférencier, expert reconnu en traitement de la lombalgie et de la douleur chronique, Yvan Campbell a complété une maîtrise en physiologie de l’exercice à l’université de Montréal. Denis Pedneault
Denis Pedneault est un culturiste de niveau international, professeur à l’université et thérapeute chevronné. Titulaire d’une maîtrise en kinanthropologie, il a complété un D.E.S.S en exercices thérapeutiques afin de pouvoir aider ses clients aussi bien dans une salle de traitement que dans la salle d’entraînement. Spécialisé en musculation, il possède une expertise de pointe en anatomie et en biomécanique, en plus d’enseigner à la faculté d’éducation physique et sport de l’Université de Sherbrooke.
Passionné par l’entraînement sous toutes ses formes, c’est à l’âge de 16 ans qu’il entreprend le parcours qui le mènera jusqu’au plus haute sphère du culturisme, ayant participé récemment aux Championnats Mondiaux dans cette discipline.
Michel Portmann
Originaire de suisse, athlète aux Jeux olympiques de Mexico en 1968, entraîneur de Claude Ferragne et Claude Forget aux Jeux de Montréal en 1976, Michel Portmann est aujourd'hui un universitaire fort respecté dans son domaine. Nicolas Roy
Ayant travaillé avec Christian Thibaudeau durant ses études, Nicolas Roy est préparateur physique dans la région de Sherbrooke. Depuis 4 ans, il entraîne des athlètes de différents niveaux (jeunes jusqu’aux professionnels) pratiquant des sports où les qualités de : force maximale, force-vitesse, d’accélération et d’agilité prédominent. Il est formateur pour le Programme National de Certification des Entraîneurs de l’Association Canadienne des Entraîneurs et il s’occupe des laboratoires pratiques des cours de méthodologies d’entraînement à la Faculté d’Éducation Physique et Sportive de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Alain Watier
Alain Watier est un préparateur physique à Montréal. Il travaille avec plusieurs athlètes dans une multitude de sports différents. Sa spécialisation est surtout les athlètes de puissance et le développement de la force maximale. Il entraîne régulièrement des joueurs de baseball, football et hockey. De plus, il encadre aussi des athlètes avec des demandes énergétiques différentes comme le soccer, le patinage artistique et la natation. Il est aussi expert dans la transformation physique ayant lui-même passé de 26% à 10% de gras en moins de 6 mois. Finalement, il est aussi un athlète qui a joué pendant plus de 13 ans au baseball de façon très compétitive.
